Seeing as how everyone around seems to have a mountain of snow, I suppose it’s only fair we get our first batch!
Just got back from the yard, meeting with Paul and checking over the plow truck. Making sure headlights are aimed well, and all markers are good. Double checking our route and we are good to go. Looks like he Paul will be out around 3:00am to start our commercial sites, I will head out round 6:15am(ish) to start the loader work.
All that said, the other lads are in for 7am to finish off our 2 remaining projects before our Christmas shutdown. I’m suddenly glad we didn’t take on many extra plow contracts.
Here’s hoping for an incident free first trip out.
Well here it goes. I’ve had thoughts of a contractors blog and here it is. As well as random thoughts and rants I may come up with, I’d be happy to hear things you need help with, or have a thought on. If there is something in or around the house you have a question about let me know and I’ll see what I can come up with.
The other thing i’m hoping this can cause is discussion. As a contractor, I have a different eye for the world at large. As I drive, I pay extra attention to construction both commercial and residential. If you’ve seen something and have questions or concerns, i’d love to hear them.
Along the way, I will also post some shots of projects we are working on. I hope to make a point to take pictures of the issues that arrise and the solutions that make them dissapear. The wonder of this business, either the exterior or interior work we do, is that our days are ever evolving. There isn’t a moment that doesn’t involve a question and answer period, or a “seek and destroy” mentaility towards the project.
Phill
